YouTube: World Music Day
I had the pleasure of designing the illustration banner and animation keyframes for YouTube's World Music day.
In celebration of the day, I was commissioned to design a banner illustration featuring people playing the Oud, a middle eastern musical instrument. I went for a style that is vibrant while keeping the cultural aesthetic of the setting, the people and the Ouds.
In addition to the banner, I also created the illustration keyframes for a little animation which was then beautiful animated by Axel Kinnear.
The concept was to showcase a fun and quirky aesthetic in as little time as possible. What made it quite a challenge is that musical instruments are meant to have sound, with no sound in this animation, the movements portrayed an exciting and fun approach full of character.
This project was featured on October 19, 2024 The illustrations and appeared via website and app in the Middle East, Germany, Austria, France, UK, and South America.
